Do not discard the envelope or follow a payment link until you have checked the organisation independently.
- Photograph every page
- Record when and how it arrived
- Verify the company and phone number
- Match the PCN and vehicle
- Note the warrant address and deadline

Create an address history and ask which earlier statutory notices were issued. The relevant court route depends on the missing document, case type and current stage.
If the details look wrong
A spelling error, unfamiliar authority or old vehicle does not by itself prove fraud or invalidate enforcement. Verify the reference with the authority using contact details you source independently.

No. Verify the sender and PCN independently before sharing information or paying.
Can I call the council instead?
The council can confirm the PCN and authority, but a warrant-stage case may also require contact with the enforcement company or TEC.
Will TE7 definitely stop enforcement?
No. Do not assume a status change until it is confirmed by the relevant official body.
